Fin Grey

Sister to the infamous Cal Grey, though only a few know of the actual relationship. They shared a father but not a childhood. While their father kept Cal, Fin and her mother lived in the slums of Mars, surviving off the scraps her Nomad mother could make from picking up odd jobs from the MMG. It took Fin a long time to understand why but as she began to show signs of inheriting her mother’s mutated genes, it became more and more clear what society, and her Father, would always see first.

So Fin fought back. But violence wasn’t her first choice, though she turned to her Nomad cousins and the darker cousins beyond them to learn how to wield it. Instead, she embraced her mutations. Her odd eyes, the veins that pulsed so dark right on the surface of her skin, the extra joint in her fingers...she turned to music. In the entertainment world, everyone was a bit of a freak, especially on Mars.

It didn’t take long for her to become popular, her husky vocals reminiscent of nostalgic blues singers. But her preferred genre was a wild mix of rock and blues, heavy bass and drum lines driving the sound deep into the masses. And mass they did, her calls for revolution and anarchy, war and peace, defiance and justice appealing to so many who lived beneath the corporate heels.

It didn’t take long before the Hans’ attention became fixed on her. She was both a useful tool and a major problem, especially when the bounties started rolling in against her. Cal had only vaguely known she had a sister somewhere. She’d grown up the child of a major GD member, living in the opulence most could only dream of, especially in Mars. But the face of this new bounty was like looking in a skewed mirror, their father’s features echoing between them. So she went looking for Fin.

Their reunion was bittersweet. Fin had known who she was for a long time, her mother had used Cal as a target for hatred and bitterness for years. But Fin was more wary, less concerned with the why’s of their Father’s choices. What she didn’t expect was for Cal to extend her own protection to her sister, especially as Fin’s mutant status was leaked. But, instead of the disgust and hatred that the MMG had hoped to curry against the singer, she was elevated to a nearly folk hero status. She was the mutant that had defied everyone and promoted chaos and revolution. Her music had gone interstellar and she didn’t even know it. She didn’t really care, more amused by the corporate anger.

But Cal knew what was coming. She convinced the GD to allow her control of Fin, convincing them that she was more useful to them alive than dead. After all, the mutants were rapidly proving to be a hugely useful resource to the Family and supporting someone like Fin was sure to help with that. But Fin had to leave Mars and Cal’s new assignment on Earth seemed the perfect place to stash her. Besides, Earth was ripe for Fin’s influence to continue as she lived and worked quietly in the city. The downtrodden there had gotten a small taste of her music and were hungry for more. Fin purchased a few businesses and settled into this new world, keeping who she was quiet for now, continuing her work from there.

~ Fin’s performance name is SerraFin, her band is named Aku
~ while she’s famous on Mars and the outer rings, Earth has only been lightly touched by her influence. The general control Corps have on Earth helping to block out some mutant from Mars’ music that called for their destruction.
~ she can be recognized if people have a good ic reason, especially starting out. The average Earth character wouldn’t know of her unless they were heavily into the underground. At best, they may have heard her music in passing
~ her mutations:
both eyes are augmented cause she was born mostly blind
Her skin is very pale, almost translucent in a way, and her veins are very prominent because of it, especially in her chest. The skin there used to be very thin though she’s gotten some work done over the years to make it less vulnerable. She used to hate the way it looks but her fame has made her embrace it as a signature look
